Guildford Cathedral

The Cathedral Church of the Holy Spirit, Guildford is beautiful. It is an Anglican cathedral designed by Sir Edward Maufe. It was built between 1936 and 1961 and is the seat of the Diocese of Guildford. The Cathedral is known as the ‘People’s Cathedral’, it is a place of welcome, worship and inspiration for people of all ages.

Guildford Castle

Guildford Castle offers an amazing 360-degree panoramic view of Guildford and the beautiful surrounding countryside. It has delightful gardens and there’s even a life-size statue of Alice Through the Looking Glass, a memorial to Lewis Carroll who lived nearby at his sister’s house.

The Spike Heritage Centre shows the rather grim history of the forgotten classes of Edwardian England. Here you will learn more about the sad state of life in the past.
